Overview

It’s a place where it’s easy to embrace your dreams, underneath palm-tree-lined mountains, overlooking the sparkling blue waters of the Bahia de Banderas. One of the best vacation spots in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta is actually the second most popular Mexico vacation destination—right behind Cancun. It maintains a small-town atmosphere, while boasting one of the most unique and sophisticated oceanfronts in Mexico. An unrivaled combination of Mexican warmth, international diversity and artistic charm aptly describe Puerto Vallarta. Beyond cobblestone streets, graceful cathedrals, bustling malecón (boardwalk) and festive zócalo (town square), Puerto Vallarta’s welcoming atmosphere complements a wealth of natural beauty and man-made pleasures.

What to do in Puerto Vallarta? Well, it’s more than sunbathing and sipping margaritas. One of the prettiest Mexico vacation spots, you’ll never run out of things to do in in Puerto Vallarta. It encompasses dazzling sandy beaches, scores of stellar restaurants, a sizzling nightlife, and picturesque streets to explore under the dazzling sun. Public sculptures enhance the extensive contemporary art scene with the finest galleries in Mexico, as well as quirky boutiques and outdoor markets blanketing the charming, winding cobbled streets.

Here, the ocean also influences life, with a host of astounding Puerto Vallarta activities, including deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, long-board surfing, and swimming with dolphins. Plus, ease yourself into an ocean kayak, watch whales migrating, and scuba dive with giant mantas in Banderas Bay.

If the Mexico vacation destination of Puerto Vallarta exists in your dreams, it’s time you made it a reality.
