When it comes to Mexican vacations, Acapulco is also a shopper’s paradise. No matter what you’re looking for, it has all types of shopping—from luxury malls to open-air markets buzzing with activity. 

Keep in mind that on your trip to Mexico, Guerrero State is known for hand-painted ceramics, objects made from palo de rosa wood, bark paintings depicting scenes of village life, and local flora and fauna, and embroidered textiles.

You’ll find modern shopping reflected in high-end shopping malls, including La Isla Shopping Village, Gran Plaza, Plaza Bahía, Plaza Marbella and Plaza Condesa. These malls also include stalls to buy souvenirs.

Plus, there are many open-air markets, like the El Parazal Arts and Crafts Market, with artistic creations and traditional items. Reproductions of ceremonial masks, hand-embroidered dresses, hammocks, onyx chessboards, miniature boats, carved conch shells, silver jewelry and more can be found.
