Night Life
In Cancun, the party doesn’t stop until the sun comes up.
Cancun is a Mexico vacation destination boasting white-sand beaches, aqua-blue water, and world-class resorts and dining, but it might be most famous for its pulsating, outrageous nightlife. In Cancun, the party doesn’t stop until the sun comes up.
While this tropical paradise is home to one of the world’s top spring break spots, it’s party reputation doesn’t end there. After dark, there are fun things to do in Cancun for everyone of all ages. Nightlife includes dance clubs, bars, parties, festivals, shows and live music bands. Whether you’re into rock, reggae, salsa or techno, Cancun’s nightspots rock all year long—from dancing under the stars to all night chug-a-thons.
Clubbing, however, remains one of the top things to do in Cancun and a perennial favorite nighttime experience. Several big Cancun resorts and hotels have nightclubs or live music in the lobby bars. The hottest action is in the Hotel Zone with Cancun’s best nightclubs. There are many nightclubs, like the wildly popular Coco Bongo, as well as Plaza Dady’O, Forum by the Sea and La Isla Shopping Village. The City and Mandala have long lines, but the party is worth the wait. Expect to stand in lines on weekends; cover charges are around $40 with open bar, or $15 to $25 without open bar. Drinks are $8 to $10. Some higher priced clubs include live entertainment. If you want to visit many nightclubs in one night, there are bar-hopping Cancun tours.
