Shopping
No longer hawking only T-shirts, belt buckles and trinkets, you’ll discover that the Los Cabos shopping scene has vastly improved, reaching the higher level of other Mexico vacation spots. You’ll find a wide array of shopping options, such as open-air bazaars, upscale designer boutiques, art galleries, colorful flea markets, souvenir shops and luxury malls.
Other than the one exception of glassware from Fábrica de Vidrio Soplado (blown-glass factory), few products sold are actually created in Los Cabos. Instead, you’ll find many items from other regions of mainland Mexico. Pottery from Guanajuato and San Bartolo Coyotepec; woven and embroidered goods from Oaxaca, Chiapas and the Yucatan; beaded crafts by Huichol Indians from Nayarit; and silver from Taxco, to name a few. In addition, dozens of shops will custom design gold and silver jewelry in just one to two days.
